TotK Sky Island Proper Fix. Update: Works with 1.2.1. Update: Added a new known issue. This mod fixes the old "Sky island" outline issue that appears when upscaling. The fix works in an improved way. As a side effect, it fixes a lot of rendering issues, such as shimmering light sources, lighting artifacts, etc.I had the same problem. I reset the controller layout though and it fixed itself. Ok so just got yuzu to work and had the problem. And I fixed it. On the bottom left next to docked I changed normal to high by clicking it. And it fixed it now running 60fps smooth. This time, land textures began to disappear entirely and objects were glowing white. Restarting Yuzu immediately fixes the issue until it pops up again after lengthy gameplay.Best fix is stop dying. Best fix is to get gud. Turn off the 60fps mod if you have it and it'll fix the problem. When i went back to 1.0.0 TOTK I got this issue. I believe the modern mods conflict with this older game version. Update to the recommended version and it will go away, and let you use your mods still.

IANAL but I think the reason Yuzu was targeted and folded so quickly was because of the profiteering angle. They advertised ToTK specific fixes in their early access release that was behind a patreon paywall, and Nintendo showed their patreon booming around ToTK's release. No other emulator dev has done that.

After the latest round of patches and improvements on Yuzu, from some youtube comparisons, it's now performing above Ryujinx for BOTW. TOTK is already hitting 45-60fps for i7 9 series and GTX 2000 series on Ryu, and 60fps for latest CPUs and GPUs with the 60fps patch, so I'm wondering how it's gonna turn out on Yuzu.
