It works amazing on Steam Deck, even with mods. SMAPI was mildly annoying to put on deck, but once it was in, everything was fine. I don't know what you expect out of it, though, if you hated playing with a controller. There's the trackpad, right stick, and even touch screen support, but you're gonna be doing almost everything through buttons. #1.

Hello! I received today a Steam Deck and followed every tutorial of how to mod the game in the Deck, but the mods still do not work. I changed the launch as Linux to install the Linux version of SMAPI, installed SMAPI and then the mods; the log box appears and everything seems to be fine there, but when I launch the game it just starts as vanilla...It makes the colors a lot more subdued and not so harsh on the eyes. Then open a new file window on the other side that has your Mods folder open. From there, drag the Content Patcher zip folder into the Mods window.
