Update: I completed 6850 kms on my 2007 GSA without any intermittent starting issue. The suspected kill switch is the problem which I did not touch through out my trip and instead used the key to turn the ignition off. solution 1: Do not use the kill switch to cut the power. Solution 2: Replace the entire unit.

Could not be happier with the bike, and would definitely buy again. In addition, if I could only own one bike, the GS definitely would be it. First time was after 65,000 km, rear joint was sticky and caused vibrations. Had to replace it again at 147,000 km, front joint was worn out completely, rear joint was sticky.

I had a 2004 R1150R that had a large amount of engine vibration while traveling at 75-80 mph. So bad that the mirrors were useless. My 2005 R1200GS had almost no noticeable vibration at any speed.
