I have my 5Ghz with a separate SSID so it's not switching to 2.4Ghz. I honestly think it's a firmware/software issue in the Nest Hello.Turn off "smart connect", and use separate 2.4GHz. and 5Ghz. networks. For 2.4GHz., pick a channel and use 20MHz. channel width. You can pick a channel by looking at an app like "Wi-Fi Analyzer" and pick the "least busy" channel of either channel 1, 6, or 11. Don't use "auto" for channel width or control channel.The wifi is fine. Mesh covers my 3.5 bedroom house and yard etc without any drama. The wifi nodes/Google nest speaker things work fine. The network itself is fast, connection rate is something like 430Mbps. The network devices (router and nodes) show up in the Google home app and their settings can be accessed and changed from there.
