If so, air India is fine. If you are flying from somewhere to jfk, to connect to Delhi, I would not recommend air india. Multiple different airlines got a single flight adds complexity which you do not want If anything goes sideways. Look at the mess that international flights are these days. Single airline on single ticket is safest.
