The Air Force selected 519 active-duty officers for promotion to lieutenant colonel and major during recent CY23A central selection boards. In total, the Air Force selected 173 majors for promotion to lieutenant colonel (Medical and Dental Corps) and 346 captains for promotion to major (Medical and Dental Corps).
