However, on the 16” vs 20” question, go 20” because the 16” with Mid-Length gas has been problematic. I had to switch the buffer spring to an M4 spring for it to be reliable on gas setting 2.
POF makes innovative stuff that looks very cool. My experience has found that POF quality is sometimes lacking and they don't really stand behind their products. I'd definitely go with the Ruger. I like my P415 but I've had to put a bit of time and money into it to correct some issues. Accuracy is on par with any run of the mill AR. 1. Droopy1592.The problem is the Ruger adjustable gas block. You'll want the .750 RS7533 and the rifle length tube for a 20" SFAR.I've seen posts where people put 500+ rounds thru SFAR - 1 guy got the barrel so hot it melted magpul hand guard - no issues. But I worry about the BCG / gas key. Doesn't look robust - so it's blind faith the metal is really strong enough. Lucky for me the dealer cut me a deal and I got the 716G2 instead of the 716i. It does have a LOT of proprietary parts, including upper, lower, bolt carrier group, buffer tube, etc. My understanding is that they get there by moving back the trigger group, which messes with quite a bit.
