So after making the portal pad and going to the mining dimension I immediately made a Mining Gadget with all the upgrades and proceeded down to the deep slate later. I mined the upper portion. I mined the middle. And the lower end toward the Nether section. Mined for at least an hour, but I never found one single Allthemoduim ore.
