Israeli fal handguard.
As the title suggests, I am looking for the dimensions of the handguard spacers that go on the gas tube for the wood/metal handguards of the Israeli FAL. Just about every place I have looked is out of stock, and I cannot find the dimensions for these spacers listed anywhere. I have the ability to make my own, I just need the dimensions.

Heavy barrel handguards have a larger retainer ring by the receiver and won't fit a standard FAL without modification. #2.Israeli HB handguards can be made to fit. I have some that were adjusted by a FAL Files member 5 years ago. He made a jig that allowed him to reduce (by squeezing, IIRC) the diameter of the metal flange. In any case, he did a 1/2 dozen for me and they turned out to fit perfectly. No carving was necessary. Sorry but I don't remember who it was.Thanks. Use a a 3/16″ end mill in the same manner to start the screw hole. Drill the gas block retaining pin hole larger – half way from either side – with a 9/64″ Then through drill #24 (.152″). This should make for a good interference fit for a 5/32″ (.156″) pin. Use the same technique with a #9 and a 13/64″ bit for the screw hole.

Should work, worst case scenario it might need minor fitment. I'm surprised everyone has answered yes so far, that's not right. The gas block on a l1a1 is longer than a metric one.
