Tenderizing body part of monster would always increase the dmg of your HBG on those areas. I normally clutch claw on the head of monster (start of the fight), bonk it against the wall (or even against other monster), tenderize the head, then shoot away. You could use Impact mantle (higher stun rate) and affinity booster help boost your dmg.
