This marble looks black without extra light and very close inspection.In Marbles, Identification and Price Guide, Block mentions some of the following color combinations as the most common: "black patch on white, green patch on mustard yellow, transparent green patch on white, red on white, yellow on aqua, or red on aqua." I have seen far to many Peltier marbles get sold or id'ed as Peltier Citrus when in fact they aren't close to a real Peltier Citrus. In my opinion, you muddy the water and dilute the concentrate of a Citrus marble (pun intended) when you try sticking other mibs in with them..Grade: 9.35. Size: 13/16″. It actually began more than a decade earlier as the Alley Agate company (see Alley Agate page), but was sold by Lawrence Alley to Berry Pink and Sellers Peltier in 1949.

A Banded Lutz is a marble with a single-colored base glass and two sets of two bands alternating with two lutz bands. Lutz is finely ground copper flakes or goldstone. The lutz bands are usually edged by opaque white strands. The most common base glass is transparent clear. Transparent color base glass is rarer.
