Sounds like a spun bearing to me, probably connecting rod. When it goes into reduced engine, the ECM turns off the injector on the cylinder that is knocking, and it goes away. Guessing you can figure out which cylinder it is by turning off injectors with a scan tool.After the ignition is turned OFF before ECM power down. Conditions for Setting the DTC.
