The Xmen core locations have 3 of the same effects as the OG core locations. 1 effect is similar and a little better in the Xmen box. The other 4 blow the OG box out of the water. I will want to house rule something where we keep the locations mostly to the choosen villian. Otherwise we will never use the OG location.

New X-Men has the better concepts and peaks to me ( the Cassandra storyline is the best out of the two runs). Astonishing X-Men is more consistent and the easier reread. I give the edge to Astonishing only due to accessibility(for myself). I love the material in New X-Men more- I just don't think it reads as smoothly as Astonishing.
