Haven't noticed with lobby but I managed to spot the same problem for me on Join Request feature. I create game, send request and none joins, after 20 or so quests I decided to go to discord and have people join a "dead" quest that I hosted. Even after 20 minutes none could Join my open to join in progress quest.No issues with joining other hunters, through the quest hub. Either join random or start a quest and choose 'allow others to join' when submitting the quest. So, my friend and me are trying to play astroneer together, he got it from the Microsoft store on pc, I got it on Xbox.
