It may help to turn off the light if you have a particular version of the lr3. Basically when the light turns on the bonnet sensor will short out. If you have the issue though without the light on then there may be a different issue. Another option is to place a wire between the bonnet sensor contacts to bypass it going into the bonnet entirely.
I hope that Litter-Robot takes this on board and either explain to everyone via guides that a moderate ammount of damage to these points can show as the other issues. This can be a simple/cheaper solution to replacing the whole bonnet (which wouldn't have worked) or the whole base which is costly.
