The real goodness of pyromancy is that it allows you to also use dark spells, since it scales with the same stats. Couple it with a dark sunset staff and dark orb (and maybe a dark roaring halberd) and you're good to go. pure pyromancy isnt a good idea, either. It’s very possible and viable.
