If I have to close the game for whatever reason or it crashes, when I try launching it again nothing happens; the play button just spins forever. I have to restart my computer to get it to launch the game.

Usually downloading it using mod manager download on vortex works. Downloading it manually sometimes requires you to paste a set of codes on your profile folder.
