It seemed that, while most people say STJ has no nightlife- the BVI's seemed much more quiet.The short answer is maybe. You need line of sight to the St. Thomas towers. The CDC still marks it as purple/moderate risk, but from what I can glean from various searches online, it seems there haven't been new cases reported since 2019 and the CDC removed their USVI Zika warning several years ago. Relatively speaking, St. John is a very safe place. We are not immune to crime, but most of our crime is of the non violent type, burglary probably the biggest. You will want to use normal precautions such as locking your car and villa, don't go looking for illegal substances, don't get falling down drunk and wander around town at night, that sort of thing. About St. John. Ecotourism is alive and kicking on St. John. There's more than enough to do on land, from watching for wildlife in the national park to hiking miles of trails or strolling sandy white beaches. Hit the water for amazing snorkeling, swimming, even underwater photography—of course. This is the Caribbean, after all. I'd say Friis Bay or all the way out to Privateer Bay. Both beaches are rocky but beautiful. For sunsets, you could try Salomon or Hawksnest. I vote for Hawksnest. It's close to the road and has that classic white sand thing.
