I have seen where the clutch pedal / foot brake pedal need tp be touched by foot to re engage/ reset the cruise and jakes . Try this going down the road , get up tp hwy speed , tap the clutch pedal where the free play is and then set cruise and see if it will work . The cruise and Jakes may just work . Good luck

Hi. I got the same engine. It's because you are letting the RPMs get to high with the Jake on. "Feather" your jake between hi and low and use you brakes a very little and the problem goes away. I can usually prevent it by turning the jake off for a second or two if the RPMs are above 2K and then back on.
