But even with that PSA and BGS have been unreliable in the past few years with cards being graded 8.5’s and then the recipient resending and the card coming back a 10.

BCCG is Definitely a ripoff. I got a 10 mint or better from a box sold by mj holding company. The ones that you can find at Walmart and this graded 10 card has a substantial dent on the top edge. BCCG is not considered a reputable grading company by anybody who seriously collects graded cards. I don't know why Beckett continues to offer that "service" other than it is a place for people to slab their cards for cheap and hope to rip off unsuspecting collectors who don't know much about grading.
