Claire in my opinion, the manuscript was the piece of writing in which Verity was telling the truth. my reasons for this are: 1. Verity's only reason in her letter that the manuscript was only a writing exercise was barely even a reason; it was trying to get Jeremy to reconsider what he thinks of her.
